Thom Bailey is a North Suffolk based freelance theatre director who is committed to engaging, educating, and connecting local communities through Applied Drama and Arts Education. Thom continues to produce a highly evidenced track record of planning and delivering numerous theatre arts projects throughout East Anglia and beyond.

Recent work included a community focused Arts Council R&D entitled ‘Thas a Rummun!” – this project utilised word of mouth accounts/ stories from the residents of Great Yarmouth, Gorleston and Lowestoft to create a brand-new show about each town’s paranormal or unusual history.

 

Professional responsibilities include:

NPO Project Board Member for The Seagull Theatre Lowestoft CIC

Community theatre projects have included theatre work for St George’s Theatre – Great Yarmouth, the Seagull Theatre - Lowestoft, Beccles Public Hall, Out There Arts, The Alzheimer’s Society, InAura, the Theatre Royal Norwich (Stage Two) Creative Matters programme, the Wellbeing Service (NSFT) and MensCraft, Norwich.

Future work will include forays into Gig Theatre and an Immersive Theatre piece.
